Library fun!

We would like to give a HUGE shout out to Brooke Green.  We approached Brooke a few weeks ago about helping us adjust the Life Skills related arts schedule, to add Library.  Without hesitation Brooke fit us into her schedule at West and  jumped right in, with both feet, creating fun and interactive activities.

"Brooke Green has gone above and beyond creating high interest lessons for our class every Wednesday in the library. She has read books, lead songs and dances, allowed students to play musical instruments, and even created fun sensory activities for the students! Ms. Guard gave Brooke the list of the weekly themes in the Life Skills classroom and Brooke has tied her activities to the classroom theme. For example this week students are learning about space, so Mrs. Green created sensory water bottles with colorful water, glitter, and stars to shake up! She also had "moon dust" for the students to squish through their fingers. She has done a wonderful job and we are so happy that the students get to try some new things!"

Brooke's extra work is allowing our class to expand their educational opportunities and interact with other people in our building.
